Spain’s Ternua launches versatile SS 2023 collection

Spain’s Ternua has unveiled its SS 23 collection for its national and international sales network. It is a versatile collection, with new design and colours. All its products bear the Ternua commitment label, which means that they are made with recycled materials, natural biodegradable materials, organic cotton or Bluesign certified fabrics.

Likewise, all the treatments used in this collection, whether water repellent or antibacterial, are environmentally friendly, some are biodegradable and others without contaminating chemicals. Also, all the cotton is organic or recycled. Among the recycled materials used to manufacture their garments are: agricultural waste, fishing nets, plastic bottles, sea plastic, recycled feather, coffee beans, wool, or carpets, the company said in a media statement.

Among the main innovations of this SS 2023 collection are the Seamount shorts for men, women, boys and girls, suitable for bathing in a cove, in a river or in a pond. A very innovative garment concept that adapts to all the possibilities offered by the mountain in the summer. It is made of recycled nylon and has several length options.

As for product lines, Ternua’s innovation team has done a great job in the Adrenalite line, focused on high aerobic intensity activities such as trail running, e-biking, or light hiking, incorporating recycled fabrics in 100 per cent of the garments of this line, maintaining its high degree of technicality. In this line, the highlights would be the ‘new Neutrino’, which evolves by incorporating recycled fabric, but maintaining the same breathability and waterproof performance (20/20), which is renamed CYCLONE JKT Men and Women, and the OUTRUN model, made from recycled fishing nets from the Redcycle project and comes in shorts, bermudas and trousers for men and women. 

In the trekking line, all products are 100 per cent Bluesign fabric (the most demanding standard in the sector with respect to regulations on harmful chemical products, which range from the beginning of the supply chain to the finished product). As highlights, the Rotar, Rotor, and Vaxlar trousers and shorts are made from recycled fishing nets from the project Redcycle. They are comfortable, resistant and PFC free.  The lightweight vest is made with Stormfleece Kligger Hard Vest M, breathable, windproof and in addition, protects from the rain, according to Ternua. 

In addition, Ternua has presented its most casual clothing line New Earth Spirit SS 23, with its noteworthy garments made with fabrics from its unique projects such as Redcycle (recycling of fishing nets), Seacycle (recycling of sea plastic), and Colorcycle (recycling of non-edible agricultural waste). 

Lastly, the brand has included the total look Nova for women and Terra for men (bermuda shorts, trousers, t-shirt, and jacket) in its Whales Spirit line, the most premium and sustainable, aimed at that urban tribe aware of the environment, who actively enjoy the city but who in turn are connected with nature and maintain a commitment to it, who want to dress with elegant garments that represent them.
